I'm not sure when it happened, but there came a day when I suddenly realized that Spider-Man had replaced Batman as my all-time favorite Superhero. My first comic book was a Spider-Man comic and I've always had a special place in my heart for the webhead. So, I thought it would be kind of fun to share my Spider-Man collection with you all and drop the top 10 favorite Spider-Man figures in my collection. This list will strictly be Spider-Man himself and I'll share a list of villains at another time. Without further ado, here are some pix of my Spider-Man Universe.

I have to admit that it was very tough to pick out my top favorite figures. Thankfully, my 4 year old granddaughter was a big help and quickly narrowed down her absolute favorite, who incidentally, made my top 10 list. I'm very happy to bring you my top 10 Spider-Man Action Figures:

10) Hasbro Marvel Legends Retro Ben Reilly

Spider-Man.

One of my favorite costume designs and an overall great looking figure, the Legends Retro Ben Reilly cements himself in my top 10.

9) Hasbro Marvel Legends Gamerverse Miles Morales Spider-Man,

The costume design is tight and the paint applications, sculpt, and overall design of this figure is really nice. The glowing "venom" bio-electric hands are a great touch and look amazing with the figure. I just like how he looks on the shelf.

8) Marvel Legends Amazing Fantasy First Appearance Spider-Man.

The black and red suit representing his first appearance looks slick in plastic form. I wish the web wings had been done a bit better and that this would have had toe articulation, but that being said, it's a fun figure to pose around and looks really good alongside his villains and the other Spider-Men in my collection.

7) SHFiguarts No Way Home Iron Spider Action Figure.

My granddaughter's personal favorite because he's so "shiny." My top ten figure because he's the best looking Iron Spider in my collection and really stands out on the display. The posability and number of great accessories makes this a super fun figure to have.

6) Marvel Legends Retro Black Suit Spider-Man

This version was a long time coming for many collectors. Built on the new retro body style, this is an upgrade over previous editions of the black suited Spidey and has become a fan favorite. Personally, I love the look and was pleased with just about everything on the figure. Yes, I had some issues with him, but overall, I'm really happy to have this figure in my collection.

5) Sentinel SV Action Into the Spider-Verse Miles Morales Action Figure.

This figure is straight up FUN! He's super posable, has so many interchangeable accessories, is sculpted and detailed to accurately represent the movie and is just an awesome figure. Yes, there are some issues with the neck peg and unfortunately on mine, the unmasked head won't pop onto the peg. That aside, I am glad that I found a copy of this figure and landed him in my collection as well as in the top five on this list.

4) Marvel Legends Renew Your Vows 2 Pack Spider-Man Action Figure.

When the first Retro Spider-Man figure came out, people immediately jumped (myself included) on how it was the Spider-Man we've been needing... that is, until this version hit stores. Yes, he's part of a two-pack, but purchasing it is worth the price. Featuring great paint applications, better articulation and even TOE articulation on a Marvel Legend makes this one of, if not, the best Legends version of the webhead released to date.

3) Medicom Mafex Ben Reilly Spider-Man Action Figure.

For several months, this was my absolute favorite Spider-Man figure. I have had him for almost a year at this point and he's still a LOT of fun to pose around and play with. As with the Legends figure, the suit design is still one of my favorites and the unmasked Ben Reilly head is an excellent accessory to this figure. If you can find one, he is so worth adding to any Spider-Man collection.

2) Medicom Mafex Black Suit Spider-Man Action Figure.

I pre-ordered this figure in September, 2021 and he was definitely worth the wait. The details on this figure, the highlights of blue on the black, the unmasked Peter Parker head, with symbiote tendrils climbing up the neck... all just make the figure an incredible joy to have. When this costume first made it's appearance in the comics, I hated it... why change something as classic as the red and blue? But over time I came to really like and appreciate the design. When it was revealed to be an alien my enjoyment of the design leapt higher. Having multiple versions of the black suit Spider-Man makes the collection fun and adding this figure to that mix just really completes things.

1) Sentinel SV Action Into the Spider-Verse: Peter B. Parker Spider-Man

It took me a long time to finally add this figure to my collection and he quickly climbed to the top of my favorites. I'll admit, that he's remained there in spite of some great additions and offerings from Hasbro, SHF, and Mafex. The accessories with this figure, the easy posing, and incredible options for displaying this figure make him one of the best Spider-Man offerings ever. When paired with the Sentinel Miles figure, the two look fantastic together. Sentinel's Spider-Gwen from Into the Spider-Verse will be hitting stores in 2023 and I've got mine on pre-order already. I really love the animated styling for these figures and this is easily, my favorite Spider-Man action figure!

Thanks for dropping by Dan's ToyBox today, I hope you enjoyed my top ten list as much as I enjoyed sharing them with you all. Until next time... GEEK OUT!!!
